Hey guys, i recently bought a 1TB HD and in the beginning i had some problems so i had to reformat the whole thing. problem is: i already copied some data on there that i'd like to get back (for example ME and 9D Very Happy). thats why i need a data recovery tool...dont want to dl this whole stuff again (and also there was LotR in HD which i wanted to watch :/)

so any ideas? im currently trying OnTrack EasyRecovery but it takes ages and i dont know if it works..if it does, i will tell you guys ^^

thx in advance

OnTrack work perfect, i used it alot of times.
Try SpinRite for repairing HD.

You had data, then you formated the drive where the data was (not repartition it too, right?), then (as i read between the lines) you wrote other data on that newly formated drive and NOW you want to recover the data that was there before the format?
Redownload the games -Miep-. There is a very good chance that the files you seak (installfiles, right?) are partially or completly overwritten by now...
btw, to answer your question, try recuva (i use it sometimes and it's a good program but i don't know if it works for formated drives)...

well i gave up on the one where i wrote new things on, still i got the old one, where the data came from in my dads pc and he didnt do anything with this one...yet i have problems using ontrack (just showing me currently on the HD available files) and pc inspector file recovery (has problems recognizing my HD as logical HD so i cant search on them for files)

when i get back from work i'll try recuva and tell you again how it works out
