No I'm not talking about the movie and for that matter its not recreation of the original classics written by Arthur Conan Doyle.

Think of it this way. What would Sherlock and Watson be like if they were in this century? Would Sherlock be someone with a million phobias like Monk? Would Sherlock in this century be like The Mentalist? or would he be like those tons of crime show cops/detectives that have ruled television since the 70s?

Yeah I was puzzled too when I saw this trailer, and thanks to my friend who pointed out this great show to me. Its simple really when you get into it.

- 3 Part series aired on BBC One and BBC HD during July and August 2010.
- Each Episode lasts about 1 hour 30 minutes.
- Sherlock seems to be a SOB and Watson his b**** (just look at the trailer :P )
- According to The Guardian the show has been renewed for a 2nd season and the series will continue.
- Presently 3 Episodes (first season) have been aired.

I just saw the first episode and it is positively brilliant!!!

The connections, the analysis, the explanations, the deduction, I'm glad I mentioned Monk and Mentalist earlier. However, I'm sad I didn't mention Dexter. Cuz I think if monk, mentalist, dexter and fring all had their DNA dumped into a new show (child) that wouldn't be as good as this!! (at least not the first episode)
